NWNP Episode 14 - Bruce Nielson LightReborn Module Series
It is still snowing here so it is a great time to stay in and play some games
or talk about them. This week Trey has a great interview with Bruce Nielson from the OnlineRoleplayer.com and author of the Light Reborn Module Series.
We also discuss HotFix 1.04.870 for NWN 2, the Sundren Open Beta held on Feb 10th, muse on what happened to the NWN2News site with info from NWCitadel.com , respond to some listener feedback and talk about putting a donate button on the site. We just purchased some new sound equipment and it kind of put a dent in the pocket book.
Also, we talk about having a NWN Podcast Contest for people to win slots in in a special DM lead game. Details to come..
We would also like your feedback on how you would feel about podcast advertising. We are looking at advertising revenue as a way to counter the cost of running the show.

Death rules… well.. Death doesn’t really rule.. but as to death rules.. in NWN1 there are a bunch of erfs you can input (ondeath scripts) that change how death is handled in a game.
Most have it set to allow you to lie and bleed until someone comes to help.. if you are playing alone, it will just apply a penalty and raise you on the spot.. but the way NWN1 handles death is (and surely NWN2) is completely modifyable by the module maker.

Hey, great show guys! Excellent interview.
As for ads/sponsors, I wouldn’t mind myself.. and I’m pretty sure no one else would either.. as it would really help to improve the show in a lot of areas.
Keep it up!

yeah, no prob w/ the sponsoring, you should get paid for this anyhow
another idea i’ve had is what if you maybe went thru each class and gave some tips & hints on how to play it, different spells/feats to take, etc… give the n00bs out there some pr0 tips
keep up the good work!

Hi Guys,
I’m mid-way through this epsiode and have listened to two or three previous episodes. Kudos! The podcast is very enjoyable.
You mentioned that you’ve never played Paper and Pencil D&D and considered trying an audio only PnP game. If you’d like to listen to some games I’ve got two sites to steer you towards. First is http://www.rpgmp3.com/ They host multiple recorded PnP games including a 40 part recording of the a group that tackled ‘The Worlds Largest Dungeon’. It’s a great site and worth checking out. The Worlds Largest Dungeon recording are a great representation of a traditional paper and pencil D&D game.
Second check out http://www.worldofskell.com/ This is a 2nd edition based game by a bunch of hard core ‘role players’. The World of Skell group definitely gets an ‘R’ rating due to language and content but they are entertaining.
While you are out surfing please drop by my blog http://enoa4rpg.blogspot.com I’ve got notes about my current NWN2 project and links to my NWN1 modules.
Take care and thanks for the entertaining podcast.
Best regards,
ENoa4

Hey dear podcasters. When do you peek into thieves guild chat again. Got loads of questions concerning eventual game days of yours. Also how about you add something like a listen counter to the site so one sees how often the episodes have been listened to. I remember you guys mentioning that in the first casts but then, nuffing. I’d like to see the progress you make.
have fun
