YAY! Clerics!
Lovely podcast. Loved the little blooper Trey had in but sadly he took it out. The two sounded like big cuddly teddies. *snickers*

Most podcasts make me feel that I am Circus Pizza, or Chucky Cheese…This one felt like sitting in front of a glowing fire drinking some mulled wine and nibbling on some cheese, while a Calico cat preens itself on the bear-skin rug near the fireplace. You catch yourself nodding off as you glance down at the book opened on your lap. ‘Episode 35′ “Next we will discuss the Cleric class…Arch etype. ‘Hmm a misprint,’ you muse to yourself, it’s pronounced ‘Arc’ e type.
No matter. Between sips of port and a few bites of Illchester (sp) you finish the chapter and close the book softly. In the dying firelight you run your fingers over the gold filled engraved lettering spelling out the words Neverwinter Nights podcast and drift off to sleep.

The sleepy deep voices were not intended. Sorry. It has been fixed now. For some reason that last upload of the file didnt go.
But hey, maybe we should try this sometime. Change our voices for variety!! HA! ffbj seemed to like it. *grins

So, I am hearing mixed feeling about the Character Class series, should we do this from time to time or drop it all together?
September 24th, 2007 at 7:45 am
I think the nodding off was due to the fact I released that segment at first with slowed voices un-intentionally. That is fixed now.

*grins* the Character classes are good for when we didn’t get an interview lined up?

Oh you are sooo bad

“I would say make a loong podcast beating all the classes just before or after the release of MotB so maybe that you can refer to it for questions from new players that will surely be lured in by the expansion.

hmmm, interesting idea

I like these bits in individual chunks.. It seems like it’d get pretty overwhelming if you put more than one class in an episode.. kinda like a newspaper without any pictures.. it just looks overwhelming…
Perhaps round-table discussion about classes.. like a few people arguing.. er.. discussing how they run/use the class.. race.. skill.. feat..
Then pull the bits out and put them in a separate archive so people can browse the stuff later too???
Maybe go to a couple of PWs and challenge a class to respond to some question.. people love to brag about how they do something best.. then you might even get some inter-PW competition.. which could only stir up more listeners.. eh?
Just a thought. Thanks for the episode!! .. I’m bummed I didn’t get to hear the “slowed down” version. cest la vie.
Enjoy!

I agree with Dave

Dave thanks for the great idea, the only issue is we are not plugged in enough to know who the class experts are. I guess we could solicit out listners for volunteers or nominations. We may try this in a round table discussion like the story telling dicussion if we can find the right people for the class in discussion. We could go over the base information and then discuss how to play with that class.
Hopefully we can find the right community members to flush this out.

Jay: I could probably do a reasonable job of talking about playing mages. I even emailed Trey some notes on that a while back; if you want to use them for a segment, go right ahead.

So much for SEptember release date of Mask of the Betrayer. October 11th is now official german release. The Witcher still is meant to be out here at October 25th. So I got to get me my b-day gift a few days early and hopfully not in french.
