Dave - Yes, I stayed on track with the Adam Miller interview
Great show guys! And thank you for filling in for me Dave.
To the folks on the round table discussion. I could not have asked for a better group! You all had wonder patience during the technical issues and hung in there to do a great show.
Domi Sotto gave a great interview! So be sure to tune in next week!
Milk n Cookies for everyone!!

Thanks Tony that helps explain some things. I think some are being a little harsh in that thread. I think a “mod” can be a module or a modification. If there is a difference for the sake of a contest, then it should be stated in the rules. And the Vault should maybe have sections for modules and a section for modifications if there is a difference. And oh yeah, where is the Podcast section!?!? hehe

good show. a in game romances turned sour idea that would be different then whats expected in a game and might take off well. ya know how some people hook up with wrong people. >:)~ the abusive bum , the gold digger, dopplanger, basic instinct , use characters that are bad people on the lifetime womens channel with the possability to kill them or drag out the story toleraiting them getting more and more extreme till ya gut em in the end or remain a sucker. but with a creative end of the relationship/romance. loved the round table . sucks there was some skype and mic issues
March 8th, 2008 at 11:02 am
Hey Skunk - Awesome ideas! lol And btw your twisted! I like!
As for the sound issues. We are going to try out Ventrilo next time. It is a push to talk and I know from playing WOW in the past, we would have up to 60 guild members doing an instance with 0 issues.

you know what I find unbelievable?
TREY FINISHED THE OC!!!! HE DID IT! HAVE A PARTY! SOMETHING!
*snickers*
Now just the little bit of finishing Mask of The Betrayer
March 8th, 2008 at 2:48 pm
Good round table. You guys should do that more often, but I suppose that unless you’re a builder talking about design isn’t the most exciting thing in the world haha
Liso, be careful with adding too many options to your quests, it’ll balloon fast and create a lot of work
OK, next time.

Dirtywick - Trust me! lesson learned. Before my rough draft was finished. I was already scaling things down! I bit off much more than I was willing to chew! hehe
March 8th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Big thank you to the NWNP Team for first creating the event and then inviting me to participate. I had a great time doing it, and learned a lot from my fellow more experienced module creators.

Great podcast. Thank you for including me in the roundtable. I’m glad you talked about the passing of Gary Gygax, we’re all playing a great game largely because of him.
I’m looking forward to the future podcasts. Great work as always.
I have to go hide now, I think Trey finishing the OC is a sign of the apocalypse. (congratz Trey)

Thanks Ernie… I think. AND I have started the MOTB!!
March 8th, 2008 at 11:10 pm
I’m still getting through this week’s podcast.. lot’s of life happenin’.. on the gaming side, I’m bummed ’bout Gygax.. I tried to imagine my life without D&D… It’s amazing how important it’s been in my life.. ..I was on-line reading the news when Michele contacted me to fill in..
Tonight and last night is/was a world-wide RPG event.. if you gamed (NWN included) then you participated in this tribute to E. Gary Gygax..
Now.. I gotta get back to the podcast to see who the giggling geek is that’s filling in for Michele.. what a dork!
March 8th, 2008 at 11:43 pm
This is taking me forever.. I listen for a couple second.. pause and go download a new plug-in for NWN2.. then back to the podcast.. then rewind to get the name of another plug-in.. repeat.. GREAT Stuff!!
I didn’t know how much I had missed by coming in late!!
March 9th, 2008 at 1:24 am
Great PC! It was very interesting to listen to you all. I got several new ideas just by following the discussion. Sad that my router messed up my Skype-connection. It would have been so fun to talk all of you.
Kudos to the NWN Podcast team!

Oh!!… lots of talk about the crashing toolset… Autosave was what was doing me in.. after turning it off, I’ve been fine.

I’m sure there is a better link for discussing the issue.. but this link was short and to the point.

Great Podcast. For making rogues more necessary in multi-player modules I use spot/listen checks for certain spawns. This is like setting up a hunt where the monsters are trying to avoid contact. So if spot/listen checks, based on level, are not made, nothing spawns.

Probably should drop in a link to the demo for anyone who might be interested.

Thanks for inviting me to be part of the Podcast! It was a blast and I enjoyed sharing some tips about module building. I also learned quite a bit from my fellow builders on a variety of issues - nice to know I am not the only one that is frustrated, yet addicted to the Toolset. LOL!
March 9th, 2008 at 7:16 pm
ffbj.. yeah.. I’ve played thief.. er.. rouge character for.. like ever.. and I hate sneaking around and having the baddies just look over and run right to me when there is no way in hells they saw/heard me.. a little thought for theives.. er.. rouges.. in the triggers will go a long way!

Giggling geek? REplacement for Michelle? It wasn’t Michelle having a sore throat?.Where is the DUDE-ing? I miss it.
Oh and Trey. you should know that its not a matter of starting it. You started NWN2 when it came out. But look where it has gotten you. Witty side remarks burning in your ego. *grins*
btw “You shall not cast heal on thy enemy!”
March 10th, 2008 at 2:07 pm
HF - That was Jay that casted heal on thine enemy. Not Trey. lol Your never going to get these two straight are you?

Yes!! I saw the review last night and posted in the review forums!
Congrats!! Dave!
March 10th, 2008 at 7:57 pm
Kewl.. I didn’t know I had a review!! I’m bummed though.. I found at least two bugs in the review… the harp should be different in the Happily Every after… a matter of fact.. it’s scripted to play any song that is in the game… but I remember taking it out to debug it.. and I never put it back in!!!
And the mouldy bread.. ditto.. oops…
I guess that’s what happens with no feedback… and late night submissions..
totally stoked though! … Dude!!
March 11th, 2008 at 4:04 am
*cackles* He is just Dude-ing around in here. And no Liso, I did not mix em up just wanted to remind the people to that. Oh and hey. MotB is broken for me. Another transition glitch back when you walk through the betrayer portal/gate. After talking to the bunch there and decide where to go I try to use the transit point and nothing happens other then my char and her companions turn invisible and are not to be seen anymore. Any suggestions? I mean besides the “Play it all over again”

That was a great podcast!
Some really useful tips on NWN2 development - really interesting to see how many people are coming straight into NWN2 with limited exposure to NWN1 mod building.
Thanks to all contributors!
