Great discussion and interview guys. One thing about a Hillbert Tour, though: the question shouldn’t be “Where are we going?”; it should be “Where are we going to end up?”

I found that supply room right away, but I was thinking this is stealing. So I grabbed a couple things before anyone else, and then left the rest alone. Funny how things you are supposed to do somehow get messed up. Well it was fun and an interesting podcast. Another behind the scenes look at dm’s and how things can go oh so very wrong. So what I am wondering is if the ship crashed and pieces of it can be recovered and somehow be put back together to get it going again, how would my character even conceive of that?
Well I guest that is part of role-playing.
Good podcast!

Another thing was my fauxpas of saying the elephant things were hostile. For all you know my tribe has some lore on these creatures and they know them to be dangerous. The game offers information to us, how we interpret that information can be a part of role-playing. What is more reasonable, to walk up calmly to such a heavily armored monstrosity, or to hand back in fear?
Not to harp on a point, but role-playing is more of an art than a science. It’s not a set of rules that if you break them you aren’t a good role-player.
April 25th, 2008 at 2:28 pm
ok, I wasnt trying to figure out what the DMs were trying to do. My character was trying to figure out where the lader was.
And I siad WolVVVVVVssss!!
April 25th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
ffbj I break ALL the rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 25th, 2008 at 2:46 pm
Thought of another horse question. Since we recorded this, I have actually got on and bought a black horse for Noble. But, on my screen it looks like a zebra!! Black and White stripes. Is there something wrong with my NWN?
April 25th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
No Ashercon, it sounds like you’ve fallen victim to a video card driver, the usual victims being those with Nvidia cards. If that’s the case, then you need to either update or roll back your driver. Most Nvidia card users I know (myself included) had to roll back. I’d heard or read somewhere that Nvidia may have fixed their NWN imcompatibility problem, but I can’t say for sure.
April 25th, 2008 at 5:03 pm
I also had to roll back at one point “the last update for the 7000 series of Nvidia” Recently have formatted. it seems to be fine with nwn1 again. But this was around 6 mo time laps from the first time I had to roll back. So maybe someone fixed something!

ffbj… I thought you did a great job role-playin’… Pablo walked up to those guys because they were just standing there.. and Pablo is one to ask lots of questions to .. well.. anyone.. and he’s a bit cocky on his ability to avoid being hurt… the talk about it being “hostile” was a Tell from Trey, I think.. I believe he was answering Pablo’s quesitons to the “waggler”.. telling me that the waggler “shows up as hostile”.. or words to that affect.
I thought our scout was a good scout.. we were a leaderless group.. and the only character that actually “did” something was the scout.. and in a leaderless group.. someone who does something becomes the leader..
Actually.. I’m betting that without the scout we’d have stood in the swamp forever discussing what to do.. I enjoyed the game. Your scout.. Dan? was the focus of our role-play.. the DMs provided the world.. you provided the our focus… I hope you don’t feel like we didn’t have fun!
Like the perky hobit.. people love to complain about the perky hobit.. just like they like to complain about how the scout led them astray.. It’s an age old problem.. you rescue the helpless hikers.. and they sue you for thier own stupidity.
Anyway.. while Pablo may have been “bothered” by having to run around without a good meal in his belly.. Dave enjoyed it start to finish.

Gag I dont want to roll my drivers back.
Oh look here comes a Monk on a zebra. LOL!!!
April 25th, 2008 at 7:32 pm
Great job putting together that interview Trey & Dave. Thanks.
Regarding the trouble with your black horse looking like a zebra, Bioware and the CEP team fixed that trouble with Nvidia drivers for 1.69 and CEP 2.1.
April 25th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
YAY!!! Runs to tell his horse!
Whispers in his ear, the other horses will not make fun of you for long.
*brushes
April 25th, 2008 at 11:27 pm
Trey… uh.. ..nevermind.
April 26th, 2008 at 7:50 am
Not at all Dave. You see, you can justify actions that seems unrealistic to others. The fearless, inquisitive, hobbit strolls up to the waggler’s. No I had fun. Just trying to get the point across, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, much the same with role-playing.
I like to keep a back up machine to play older games. With old drivers etc…
I did a horse demo that’s pretty quick to run through. It’s the same method I use in my module. Requires Cep 2.0. Here it is if you want to take a look:

Thanks to everyone for producing these shows… They’re informative and surprisingly entertaining.
April 27th, 2008 at 9:26 am
AsherTrey.. I saw Big Red last night.. and his horse wasn’t a zebra… I’m thinking of looking for a beta driver so I can make fun of your striped horse.. alas.. I guess I’m stuck with normal horses.
April 27th, 2008 at 10:20 am
I think I broke Trey again. And btw where is my first post? I was sure I posted my thanks for another great podcast.
Oh I am playing the module of Markus “Wayne” Schlegel atm the A hunt through the dark remastered. and so far its nicely made. Need to ask him stuff about some things but I think I will have a report for you soon.
April 27th, 2008 at 10:30 am
C.leucas thanks for compliments! And thinks for listening!
April 27th, 2008 at 10:43 am
Surprisingly? What do you mean “surprisingly” Of course they are cause this guys are big quality. Sometimes they are strange. giggling surferboys clerics that heal skeletons and cat herds but hey you gotta live with that.
April 27th, 2008 at 11:55 am
*Mischeviously* Since some in the NWN podcast crew have suffered (I think) undeserved abuse over this issue in the past, I would like to document for the record that:
Heal Spells Hurt Undead
So clerics that heal skeletons are simply doing their gods’ work and demonstrating the great wisdom that is so well associated with their profession.
