Really enjoyed this episode. Been listening to most of the podcasts over the last few months just not had time to comment!!
I’d never heard of Lance’s empty hak approach to updating files, but it sounds pretty useful - does anyone have a link to how it actually works?
Only thing missing today was the voice of the skunkman. Maybe that’s because he’s been in a lot of shows and I’ve become a skunkaholic.
Keep up the good work!

Hi ElvenRogue,
I made a post about it in the fourms a while ago. I managed to find a link to it for you … http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/myviewtopic.html?topic=574566&forum=47
All the best.
Lance.

By the way … the idea should work for NWN2 as well. And always make sure you have at least one file in teh empty hak (even a readme.txt) so that the hak loads OK with the module.

Hi ElvenRogue,
I have also found the post reiterated in this building guide ….
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Other.Detail&id=1160
It was mentioned during the posts, but this was the first time I saw it in a final release.

It was great to be on the cast again, Trey. Thanks for having me.
Lance, congratulations and it was nice to finally “meet” you. When you wrangle the rabbits, do you need a Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch? Look at the BONES!!
I’m looking forward to the next installment of the Althea campaign. The story is really quite interesting. I’m liking it.
Still trying to figure out how many times RoAnnon was said. I hope he has deep pockets.
Posted on September 5th, 2008 at 10:49 am
I forced the Kobold Boys to sing Roannon or else I was going to fireball blast each one of em. Killed em anyways and their screams was too loud I didnt bother to reduce the noise level and just cut it out. Also thanks to old Necromancer spells I raised Jimi Hendrix from the dead to perform for the show too. Enjoy

ElvenRouge.. you didn’t get enough of a Skunk-hit from the Kobold Boys song?? that was more Skunk than we probably should have been subjected to.. Thanks for the interview guys!! Good job Tybae!
Lance - awesome dude! Awesome, dude.

Tybae …
The rabbits are simply too quick.
Dex skill bonus +10.
Writing the next instalment is quite an undertaking, as I am trying to fill in details for both those who have played Soul Shaker and those who will not have done. There will be effectively, two different backgrounds for different players.
Hopefully, the next module will go some way to help newcomers to the campaign (and those who know some background) focus again on the main story. This will, of course, mean there will be a greater degree of background info in the way of books and characters, and the trick now is to not overdo the info, but allow it to come through the module in a way that is still refreshing and not drown the players in back story.
Skunkeen …
Great tune … I’m sure the kobold Boys knew it was all over for them anyway .. the moment they knew it was you.
Eat2Surf …
Many thanks ….

Okay, now that I can breathe again…
…I don’t know that whatever Skunkaroo told y’all was quite exactly what I said to him…
But whatever…
Great show, as usual guys.

btw, what’s a Debut Arthor?
Posted on September 5th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
Thank you for coming onto the show Lance & Tybae. was cool to hear ya chat. Wicked story telling Lance!
ok I may of gotten it mixed up on the donation but I bet his expression was the best donation to think he would have to pay each time his handle was said >:)~ thank you RoAnnon!!
Posted on September 5th, 2008 at 9:18 pm
oto Hope we didnt scare RoAnnon < -< >->
Posted on September 5th, 2008 at 10:14 pm
Ashercon …
Thanks … It was great to be on the show and to be able to chat with you … before and afterwards.
RoAnnon …
Debut “Arthor” …. I didn’t like to say.
Btw, I hope they did not break your bank …. RoAnnon.
Skunkeen …
My personal belief is that the story is what makes the game, and that the mechanics help the player to be part of it.
If you enjoyed the story telling, then that is great to hear. I hope I can continue to keep the right pace in the next instalment in the new era with NWN2.
Lance.

Lance, thanks for the links will check those out!
Ashercon, I have to admit this isn’t the first time I’ve learnt something cool from listening to the show!! The interviews and round table events can really useful for picking up tips on nwn related stuff.
Dave, surely there’s no such thing to much of the skunkaroo?

Posted on September 6th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
sometimes you guys scare me… really you do. I think the melody of the Roannon song sounded at least slightly familiar but this song for me?… I dunno.
Posted on September 6th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
eR.. you’re right.. never too much of the Skunkinator.. well.. .. uh.. ok.. sure.
Posted on September 6th, 2008 at 4:50 pm
Great show guys, loved every minute!
Posted on September 6th, 2008 at 6:28 pm
Hmm I left a comment after Foxy’s, that would be before Dave’s, but it’s not there now..
Posted on September 6th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
Hmm.. I checked the dashboard.. your other comment isn’t there.. but neither is Trey’s comment about IE and the forums.. soo.. I’m guessin .. and Trey, correct me if I’m wrong!.. I’m guessin’ some comments got taken out and maybe yours got inadvertently nixed.. .. or maybe it’s just another excuse for us money-grubbin’ podcasters to work RoAnnon into things.
Oh.. HF.. that song.. Jimi Hendrix.. also made popular in Wayne’s World for another generation.. and.. yeah.. you’re welcome to feel a bit scared of Skunk.. but.. as eR has pointed out.. you just can’t get enough of him… I guess that makes him like Doritos.
Posted on September 6th, 2008 at 10:24 pm
Roannon, your comment might have got lost when we were transferring comments to a new database. Sorry, repost it.
Posted on September 6th, 2008 at 11:01 pm
Or maybe they got…. *gasps* … taken down for our own safety. *shifty eyes*
Posted on September 6th, 2008 at 11:58 pm
my missing post would now be redundant, so I won’t waste server space by reposting it..
Posted on September 7th, 2008 at 12:26 am
Server down, can’t listen the podcast
Posted on September 7th, 2008 at 4:42 pm
Hmmm, not sure it can take a few minutes before it starts sometimes. It is working for me right now in Firefox. We will be off the private server soon. Please be patient.
Posted on September 7th, 2008 at 7:49 pm

Thanks

Hi Liso66 ….
It was fun to do and Trey and Tyler were great hosts.
Unless you start singing “Somewhere over the rainbow” …
There is never any “suffering” when we listen to you.

Posted on September 11th, 2008 at 7:26 am
I would NEVER subject anyone to my singing.
And certainly not put it on the net for anyone to hear. I do not believe in abject humiliation!

Posted on September 11th, 2008 at 7:44 pm
That was text singing.
*eats some cake
Posted on September 11th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
Ashercon …
That’s how it starts … in all innocence “text singing” … and then comes along a microphone …. the urge begins to rise … and then … BAM! … “Somewhere over the rainbow!” ….. coding its way along our cable lines and bursting forth in mp3′ness. Once it begins, there is no stopping it …. just say I warned you.
Lance.
